Our students will be performing a play based on the heartwarming children's book "Rainbow Fish." In this class of young actors, we will learn the basics of performance and storytelling while building confidence on stage.

By the end of the week, our students will have learned the beauty of kindness and how much fun performing can be!

Payment plan available: $100 deposit plus 5 payments of $45.83, paid every four weeks. Final payment of $45.85.

Join our DND crew for 4 days of the spectacular tabletop, dice-rolling, role-playing game!

This session, our journey will begin upon the Black Shadow, the students will loot enemy ships, hunt sea monsters & uncover the truth of "The Cursed Red Ruby". Our students will learn to create their own pirate crew character, and they will sail through learning the rules of playing DND. 

Payment plan available: $100 deposit plus 5 payments of $45.83, paid every four weeks. Final payment of $45.85.

Middle School Improv (Ages 10-14)

Anyone can join this class to play with the rules of Improvisational Fun!

In this action-packed camp, kids will learn everything from the basic rules of improv to more advanced techniques.

With a fluid structure based around games and play, this session focuses on teamwork, listening to each other, and thinking creatively on your feet! 

The final day of camp is one of the most important. It’s a day for the kids to learn how to strike a set, wrap up a show, and then we celebrate with a talent show and lots of fun.

Payment plan available: $100 deposit plus 5 payments of $79.16, paid every four weeks. Final payment of $79.20.

Play: Dr. Seuss's - The Lorax

This two-week intensive will be directed by Lucy Hamilton, who is celebrating her sixth year directing shows for the Evergreen Players! In this dramatic adaptation, students will explore the tale of the small, mustachioed Lorax, who "speaks for the trees" and all the creatures that depend on them.

Campers will examine the decisions made and the warnings ignored, learning that even the most difficult problems can be reversed by understanding the past and taking action in the present. Through acting, movement, and expressive storytelling, students will uncover the message of hope that lies in this classic story. 

Throughout this two-week camp, students will:

  • Learn, memorize, and rehearse dramatic scenes featuring acting expressive storytelling.
  • Build confidence through group work and the development of distinct, memorable characters.
  • Explore essential themes of the importance of speaking up.
  • Strengthen stage presence, projection, and collaborative teamwork.

By the end of camp, our campers will perform a thought-provoking and energetic performance that celebrates the original text and reminds us all, "Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not."

Middle School Ensemble (The Starbuccaneers)

Class Ages 10-14

Our students will rewrite a previous story written by the Middle school Ensemble class of 2022, entitled The Starbuccaneers! This story is a fun take on the discovery of a certain coffee shop we all know and love.

This class will focus on...

  • Character exploration: Helping students connect to their character. Developing their character. Learning to let go of performance fear.
  • Team bonding: No show can go on without everyone working together. We strive for kindness and encouragement!
  • Script Flow: How to write down blocking directions and director's notes.
  • Audition Work: We will do a cold read audition for a few parts. 
  • Memorization Work: We will review different memorization tips and techniques before the audition, and will review when the finished scripts are received!
  • Stage Combat: Sword fighting, regular fighting, and how to die on stage. By the end of camp, students will have created a play completely unique to the students' personalities and will feel empowered to perform!

Musical: The Addams Family

This summer at the Evergreen Players Drama Camp, middle and high school performers will step into the wonderfully weird world of The Addams Family—a story that celebrates individuality, humor, and the joy of being unapologetically yourself.

The class will be taught by Cortez Daniel, co-founder of Tones Collective, educator, musician, and long-time champion of youth arts programs. Cortez brings a joy-centered teaching philosophy that encourages students to bring their full selves into the creative process.

Throughout the camp, students will explore how joy fuels character work, how authentic expression can elevate both comedy and storytelling on stage.

We’ll focus on...

  • Character Ownership: Helping students find personal connections that deepen their performances.
  • Joyful Discovery: Using movement, improvisation, and reflection to unlock creativity.
  • Collaborative Ensemble Building: Strengthening trust, confidence, and risk-taking within the group.
  • Performance Craft: Developing acting, vocal, and physical storytelling skills inspired by the musical’s iconic characters.

By the end of camp, students will not only present polished scenes and musical moments from The Addams Family—they will also leave with a stronger sense of themselves, empowered to bring joy, boldness, and authenticity to every stage they step on.

Musical: Beauty & the Beast

Our performers will dive into the magical world of Beauty and the Beast Jr., exploring selected scenes that highlight courage, kindness, and the power of understanding others.

In this adaptation, students will tell the story of a prince who has lost hope and an intelligent young girl who feels disconnected from the world around her. Both characters are misunderstood by their communities, yet they unexpectedly find comfort and strength in each other’s friendship.

Through music, acting, and movement, campers will learn how these two unlikely companions grow, change, and ultimately discover the true meaning of belonging.

Throughout camp, students will...

  • Learn and rehearse musical scenes featuring singing, acting, and expressive storytelling
  • Build confidence through ensemble work and character development.
  • Explore themes of acceptance, self-worth, and empathy
