Mask Making and Performance (Ages 8-11)
with Lucy Hamilton
(Ages 8-11)
These young artists will create their own story. Join us as they not only write their own story, but also craft their own masks costumes, and sets!
Masks played an enormous role in ancient theatre, and masks are still used today (in shows such as The Lion King and Phantom of the Opera). Our fabulous instructors will walk our young actors through designing their masks in this fun camp session. They will be guided step by step in creating these masks and then they will perform an original piece in them.
This is an extraordinary session for young actors who might be nervous about lines or anyone with stage fright. Together, we will explore the joys of theatre behind hand-made masks.
